Dr. Scott Weinman will present "Revolutionizing Canine Muscle Health with the Power of Ursolic Acid." Muscle atrophy commonly occurs as part of the normal aging process, with many chronic disease states, and during post-surgical recovery in canine patients. This program will explore the pathophysiology of muscle atrophy in dogs affected by sarcopenia and cachexia, along with its impact on muscle health and mobility. Attendees will review diagnostic tools for assessing muscle health, current therapeutic approaches, and the emerging role of ursolic acid in improving muscle strength, function, and overall mobility. The presentation will also examine the discovery of ursolic acid and the scientific evidence supporting its efficacy in mice, humans, and canines.
